Over many years, we have formed close partnerships with some of the highest quality producers & suppliers in Cornwall. Our goal is to bring you the freshest & most mouth watering flavors from paddock to plate. We even grow & rear plenty of produce on site right here at Whalesborough Farm.
Started right here at Whalesborough Farm. Unique cheese recipes made in small batches with local pasteurised cows & goats milk. Developed over the last 17 years, Whalesborough Cheese has won numerous awards & forged alliances with some of the top taste-makers in the UK & international food industry including the likes of Rick Stein.
Different from most other “direct from farm” meat suppliers as we are professional butchers who farm. The business has been farming and butchering since 1880 and to this day we still dry age and mature our meat the traditional way on the bone before cutting for today’s modern consumer.
Working with nature for the benefit of our environment, not against it. We aim to grow produce that people can get excited about and create a thriving space that brings the community together. Based onsite here at Whalesborough Farm you will see Neetfield on the left as you cross the bridge at the very start of our drive.
All our animals are grazed on our local permanent meadow grass pasture, our 100% outdoor grass-reared lamb and beef develops its great taste, maturing slowly at its own pace. We produce a highly sustainable, low intensity product with the highest of animal welfare standards, all within one mile of our home on the coast. You will see many of Dan’s beautiful sheep grazing the paddocks surrounding The Weir.
We produce high quality Pork and Bacon products, using traditional methods from our own Large white x Landrace pigs bred and reared on our family run farms here in Cornwall.
Located just up the hill in Marhamchurch. Chris Jopling combines traditional techniques and a passion for locally sourced, free range, happy Cornish pigs to create truly special sausages for us here at The Weir.
Established in 1985, we are a family run business based in St. Ives supplying the finest and freshest fish & game across the UK.
At John Patt’s we are firm believers in using as much locally produced produce as possible. As you are aware not only is it fresher and tastier, but at the same time we are all supporting our local growers and local economy as a whole.
